SDN Based Management Platform for Intranet Services

Telecom operators experience difficulties in applications such as virtual local area network (VLAN) management, bandwidth management and access while providing intranet services traditional networks. In this study, open operating system (ONOS) based software defined (SDN) platform is developed for order to address these problems. The has been integrated onto an existing a new topology created. proposed topology, elements are connected the generation SDN switches instead of legacy switches. solution tested on live network. According test results where compared with scenario under varying traffic load, achieved very successful terms latency, jitter, packet loss flow setup times. Overall, provides good alternative solutions large scale networks, minimizing workload spent by controlling network, achieving cost savings eliminating vendor dependency.
